SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2014 Details of Applying Procedure & Selection Criteria


The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) organizes every year the recruitment exam for short listing candidates in the post of LDC (Lower Division Clerks) and DEO (Data Entry Operators) respectively. The applicants interested to apply in the concerned exam of Staff Selection Commission may refer the official notification for the same available online at the website of SSC very soon.

The applicants short listed in the concerned exam will be recruited under different Group C and D posts. This includes the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D post, one of the most sought after by all the eligible applicants for this exam. Details of the Staff Selection Commission Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2014:
The Staff Selection Commission has announced the tentative dates for selection of applicants in the different Group C & D posts through the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2014. The applicants in order to participate in this exam should be Intermediate (10+2) passed from any central or state Boards of India as recognized for this purpose.

1. Data Entry Operator
2. Lower Division Clerk
Place of Recruitment: All over India
Scale of Income: Pay Band I: Rs 5200-20200 + GP (as applicable)
Selection Criteria:
The candidates will be required to appear and qualify in the written exam as conducted on the dates specified and skill tests for the LDC & Stenographer posts respectively. The written exam for the Combined Higher Secondary Level Exam 2014 shall be based on objective type questions on the following main topics: General Intelligence (50 Marks), General Awareness (50 Marks), General English (50 Marks) and Quantitative Aptitude (50 Marks) respectively. The applicants will be given two hours to solve the paper and negative marking of one-fourth per questions shall be done for wrong answers attempted by them.
Applying Criteria:
The applicants can apply in  either of the modes- online or offline. The online application can be done through the State Bank of India Challan made available at the online registration window of SSC at ssconline.nic.in
The offline payments and registration can be done through any nearby post offices of India. The payments for the registration shall be done by CRFS Stamps as specified for this purpose.

Date of Advertisement Publish: 19th July 2014
Date of Closing Application: 15th August 2014
Date of Examination: 2nd November 2014 & 9th November 2014
